About the Rocky Mountain Section
The Alpine Club of Canada has been passionate about climbing, skiing and hiking in alpine environments for more than 100 years, and the Rocky Mountain Section is one of 22 local sections across Canada that help make up the Club. Membership in the Section is open to everyone, and provides you with the opportunity to participate in a great variety of trips, courses and social events in one of Canada's premier alpine regions. With the Canadian Rockies at our back door, members of the Rocky Mountain Section participate in a wide range of mountain activities all year round. Whether it's hiking, scrambling, rock climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, cross-country ski or ski touring, the Alpine Club of Canada's Rocky Mountain Section has it all!

Our Mission Statement
The Rocky Mountain Section of the Alpine Club of Canada fosters a community of alpine enthusiasts, and provides them with the opportunity to safely participate in and learn about mountain-related activities.
The Rocky Mountain Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is the preferred outdoor club for alpine enthusiasts at all levels of skill and knowledge. The RMS encourages sustainable and shared mountain experiences through participation, education, and leadership development.
