Happy new year to all! We are going to have our first 2018 social on Jan 18! After a successful talk in Golden in December, Steve is coming to Canmore.

Last minute spots available for an AST 1 course for working locals in the service industry in the Bow Valley - lead by local ACMG Certified Guide Doug Latimer in sponsorship with Vertical Addiction.  Doug is offering a AST 1 course with a schedule and cost that makes sense for employees working in the service industry in the Bow Valley. Come take your first step for a safe ski season.

 

Classroom sessions are on Monday and Tuesday Dec 18-19 at

6:30-9:30 p,m.  The field day will be on Wednesday Dec 20th.  The course is



" Adventure Photography" -- A talk by John Price at 6:30pm, Dec 14 at Canmore Legion (834 7 St, Canmore). 

First Ever YEG ACC Ice Climbing Camp! December 30th-January 7th

This camp is a collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Section! One of our Ice Leaders is from the RMS, and we are looking forward to having participants from the Rocky Section as well!

Overview

Join us for the first annual YEG ACC Ice Camp! No more envy for all the ski camps – finally one for Ice Climbers!

This camp will be low key, with participants responsible for their own food / transportation. Accommodations are included (see below for details).

Our Introduction to Crevasse Rescue is coming up soon (Nov 17), but there's still time to secure your spot!  Learn the skills you need to stay safe in glaciated terrain.

Our Companion Rescue Skills course is also just around the corner (Nov 24) - sign up today to practice the latest techniques in avalanche response.
