AST 2+: Assessing and Describing Rockies Spring Snowpack: 27 March 2020

The RMS section of the ACC is organizing 2 courses intended to help develop skills and confidence for section members in challenging snow conditions. These courses will provide tools to more systematically assess and describe snowpack in the Rockies across two different seasons. In combination with terrain analysis, this should support more comprehensive decision making and lead to more safe and fun ski touring trips.  The Assessing And Describing Rockies Spring Snowpack course will focus on the challenges typically found in late season (spring) conditions in the Canadian Rockies.

Prerequisites: previous AST2 completion

Priority will be given to those indicating a willingness to become trip leaders and to those that have completed the Assessing And Describing Rockies Early Season Snowpack course
