Introduction to Outdoor Lead Climbing: 1 June 2019

Barrier Bluffs

If you're getting comfortable leading routes at the climbing gym and want to start climbing real rock, or have been toproping at the crag and want to start getting out on the sharp end - this is the course for you!  This 2-day program will give you the knowledge and skills you need to stay safe, have fun, and rise to the challenge of lead climbing on outdoor rock.  Topics will include: hazard identification at the crag, route selection and protection strategy, anchor building and removal, lowering from a fixed anchor, and putting it all together on a mock lead.

Develop the skills and confidence you need to be a independent outdoor climber this summer!
