As we navigate the ever-changing circumstances of this pandemic, the Rocky Mountain Section Board continues to review the safety of Section activities, under the guidance of our provincial health authorities.

On December 8th, the Province of Alberta introduced stronger measures to reduce the spread of COVID that will remain in effect until no earlier than January 12th.  Details of these enhanced public health measures can be found on the Government of Alberta website:

Rocky Mountain Section Annual General Meeting, November 25th, 2020 at 7:00 pm (Members Only)

Rocky Mountain Section writes to Alberta Minister of Environment and Parks about changes to provincial parks system and cancellation of track-setting in 3 K-Country areas:

ROCKY MOUNTAIN SECTION RESPONSE TO COVID 19

After careful consideration of the COVID 19 situation, the Rocky Mountain Section Board has decided to cancel all Section trips, courses, camps and socials until at least June 15th.

Given the strong recommendations from public health officials, our own risk assessment, and decisions by many other similar organizations, we believe this unusual step is the right one in light of all endeavours to contain the spread of the virus.
